A Time of Transition Losing Tim as CEO has been a humanly sad time for us, but we all agree, that when God calls we simply have to follow. And clearly God called Tim to this new role. In this period of transition Arthur Conomos has come on staff to fulfil a part-time role as interim CEO while the WCA Board continues in the process of selecting a new CEO. Arthur comes to us with business, non-profit and ministerial experience. He has 13 years experience as an accountant, 9.5 years ministry experience working at Bracken Ridge Baptist Church in a pastoral/leadership role, is a past board member and chair of SU QLD, and has done consulting work with numerous Christian not-for-profit organisations. If you have any questions feel free to contact me via email – info@willowcreek.org.au.
Tim Hanna has recently moved to take up the role of CEO of Compassion Australia.
Tim is still very passionate and excited about the ministry of Willow Creek. He will continue to fulfill all his commitments for Willow Creek Australia for 2010 including the Global Leadership Summit. He will also continue as a board member of WCAA. Willow Creek and Compassion have a very strong partnership here in Australia and indeed worldwide and I am sure that Tim's new role will strengthen this relationship.
As a Board, we are excited about the place that Willow Creek Australia has in the Australian church landscape, especially in terms of leadership development and resourcing the local church. We are also excited about the future for Willow Creek Australia and about the new directions that God will lead us to.
Please pray with us for Tim in his new role and also for the Board as we seek God's wisdom in terms of our next appointment as leader of WCA here in Australia. Please also pray for our wonderful office staff in this time of transition.
